FFG pilot burner is designed with single source of ignition, flame front generated (FFG) – manually. FFG is a robust ignition system as there is only FFG ignition pipe instead of cable. Troubleshooting can be done at ignition skid.
Each pilot is pre-installed with single or dual element type-K thermocouple(s) to monitor the temperature of pilot and signal PLC with the flare status. Pilot burner will need manual intervention at skid by the operator to ignite and reignite once the PLC system detects off flaring.
The concept is to reach the mixture of gas / air proportion for the FFG ignition line which varies for different gas composition.
